Job summary

Orka Financial is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a full-time temporary assignment in Brimpton Common. This office-based role lasts between one and three months and pays an hourly rate of £19.50-£20.50.

You will provide practical support across day-to-day accounting activities, helping to keep financial records accurate and routine processes on schedule. The role involves reconciliations, invoicing, VAT, and year-end work in a busy office environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in day-to-day accounting tasks within an office-based setting.
• Temporary assignment of 1–3 months.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete bank and credit-card account reconciliations.
• Record supplier invoices and credit applications in Sage.
• Prepare supplier payment-run information and process monthly statements.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Support monthly and quarterly ONS survey submissions.
• Assist with VAT returns and year-end accounting work.
