Overview

Our client is seeking a Temporary Assistant Accountant to support their finance team until 15 January 2026. This is a part-time role based in Jersey, working four hours per day, Monday to Friday. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual seeking flexible hours while applying their accounting skills in a supportive office environment.

Job Duties
  • Perform daily bookkeeping and data entry tasks
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Support invoice processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Generate basic financial reports as needed
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders including auditors and suppliers
Job Requirements
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
