Capita TV Licensing is hiring a Field Officer to support local communities in the Southend-on-Sea area. You will visit customers at home, discuss TV licence requirements, explain options and help them take the next steps, with full training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Role involves independent fieldwork, visiting addresses with no TV licence recorded, and documenting outcomes using mobile tech. A full UK driving licence and resilience are essential for success.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Field Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting TV Licensing by engaging with customers across the Southend-on-Sea area. Working independently, you'll manage your own daily schedule, visiting addresses where no TV licence is recorded and helping customers understand their licensing obligations.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Visiting residential addresses throughout the SS14 - SS16 postcode areas
• Speaking with customers professionally and respectfully
• Explaining TV Licensing requirements and available options
• Setting up payment plans where appropriate
• Recording visit outcomes accurately using mobile technology
• Making informed decisions and working independently in the field
• Occasionally attending court as part of the enforcement process

You'll start and finish your day from home, travelling locally using either a company vehicle or your own vehicle. Full training and equipment will be provided to help you succeed in the role.

Working Pattern

To support customers at times that suit them best, you'll work 12 of your 36.5 weekly hours between 4pm and 9pm Monday to Friday, or at any time during weekends. This flexible working pattern allows you to organise the remainder of your week around your lifestyle and commitments.
