Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivatedTelesales Managerto lead our telesales team. This role is key to driving sales performance, enhancing customer relationships, and supporting the wider commercial strategy. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, coaching and developing staff, and ensuring the team meets and exceeds performance targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and support the telesales team to achieve sales targets and KPI’s, while providing guidance and mentoring.
  • Monitor team performance, provide coaching and strategies to improve productivity and effectiveness.
  • Set and track KPIs to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Implement training for telesales operators to enhance skills and product knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including sick leave and other staff-related procedures.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers to develop and refine telesales strategies.
  • Prepare quotes for new business opportunities in conjunction with the Business Development Manager.
  • Coordinate and maintain accurate price files for existing customers.
  • Compile and present regular sales reports to senior management.
  • Prepare quotes and pricing for both new and existing business.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Handle and escalate customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Build effective relationships with key departments including sales, credit control etc.
  • Identify and escalate system improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the telesales team.
  • Continuously review administrative tasks to ensure full coverage, including account openings, credits, online processes, and pricing.
  • Undertake any other responsibilities as delegated by the Wholesale Director.

The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a telesales or sales management role.
  • Educated to Third Level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook etc).
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commercially astute with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, target driven environment.

Desirable criteria (these would be an advantage but not essential)

  • Experience in the food service, wholesale or FMCG sector.
  • Knowledge of telesales systems and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with SOP development and implementation
  • Experience in preparing quotes and pricing for both new and existing business.
  • Strong understanding of sales margins and commercial decision making.

Interviews will be held on the Morning of Monday 18th,Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th August 2025.
