About the role:

To deliver annual EBITDA targets through the effective Leadership of the Kluman & Balter Telesales team by delivering sustainable growth in target markets. Drive business development through growing sales into the existing and potential customer base.

Provide clear Leadership to the Kluman & Balter Telesales team that ensures continued people development leading to the delivery of business goals.

As the Telesales Manager, it will be your responsibility to:

  • Manage the Kluman & Balter Telesales Team with direct accountability for all telesales colleagues and ensure continued people development and clear succession plans.
  • Lead the Kluman & Balter Telesales team through setting clear direction supported by clear people goals that are reviewed frequently
  • Manages regular reviews on progress against plan/target and build clear action plans to address variances
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement through effective annual appraisals and ongoing coaching and mentoring
  • Build collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders across Sales, Technical, Supply Chain and Finance
  • Management of business plans that grow the business in its target markets resulting in increased EBITDA
  • Drives cashflow through effective internal management of customers to ensure cash collection and payment to terms is optimised
  • Responsible for annual Budgets and quarterly and monthly Forecasts to ensure the business is holding the right stock levels
  • Effective internal management of customer requirements through overseeing the management of up to date customer call lists, EDI, and tele-selling to ensure Kluman & Balter captures daily/weekly customer requirements
  • Through a thorough understanding of the bakery ingredients market uses a wide range of tools/ techniques to analyse the bakery market to develop appropriate business plans that ensures customer growth
  • Ensures effective internal management of existing customer base including order capture, margin management, customer upselling, customer trials, service levels and complaint resolution
  • Manages the returns and credit note process to ensure the correct oversight and governance is applied to customer administration
  • Works closely with K&B External sales team and the A1 Cakes sales and development teams to continually grow the business through aligned, focused product and customer development
  • Works with Legal & key stakeholders to complete or adapt standard contract documentation to convert business needs into robust contracts with customers
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate for this role from time to time
You should have
  • Previous experience in the bakery ingredient market
  • Extensive experience of managing a Telesales team
  • Proven experience of increasing targets
  • Confidence in working with key internal stakeholders
