A leading laboratory equipment supplier is seeking a motivated individual for a hybrid sales position. The role includes managing customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, and collaborating with the sales team. Ideal candidates should have a background in science or laboratory settings, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to sales. A new hybrid position has been created within the existing Scottish Sales team to help grow and develop new and existing sales across a wide range of laboratory market sectors which would include Biotech, F&B, Clinical and Industrial accounts.
The position would initially involve working with the Telephone Account Management Team to understand the full management of orders from enquiry, quotation, through to order processing. You will be expected to retain and grow customer accounts by establishing and maintaining strong relationships through regular account management. Other primary goals are to increase products brought through the customer base and develop new business.
This position would ideally suit someone with scientific or laboratory experience looking to move into the commercial sector of laboratory sales. An understanding of the laboratory market and familiarisation with lab products would be beneficial.
You will work with the local Scotland office and local territory managers to understand the marketplace and products.
The job will be primarily home/office based. It is expected the right candidate would be willing to undertake field visits to meet with clients as and when necessary to help build and develop relationships.
Full local support will be provided through the Scottish Sales Office, which is based in Newhouse, Lanarkshire. A comprehensive training schedule will be provided and all travelling expenses in relation to the job will be covered.
