Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting an experienced telehandler driver to provide holiday cover on a fast-paced new build housing development in Hornsea. This short-term contract offers steady hours and keeps site logistics moving safely, placing materials exactly where trades need them while the permanent driver is away.

You will operate a telescopic handler on a live residential site, unload deliveries, assist trades, conduct pre-checks, and work with the Site Manager to maintain plots.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPCS or NPORS Telescopic Handler card with category for Telehandler.
• Experience operating a telehandler on new build housing sites.
• Full PPE: Hard hat, hi-vis, steel toe cap boots.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Strong health and safety awareness around live plots.
• Excellent communication, reliability and punctuality.
• Based in or commutable to Hornsea.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a telescopic handler across a live residential housing site.
• Unloading deliveries and staging materials across active plots.
• Assisting sub-contractors and site trades with material lifts.
• Conducting daily plant inspections and logging pre-checks.
• Working with the Site Manager to maintain plot schedules.
• Assisting with site housekeeping during quieter periods.
