Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is looking for a Telehandler on a long-term Yeovil site. You will operate the telehandler using multi-functional joysticks, changing attachments as required, and carry out pre-start checks in accordance with HSE guidelines.

You'll support ground crews and trades, assist with material storage, and help keep lifts within load charts while following safety procedures, ensuring smooth on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Telehandler operator with CPCS/NPORS certification.
• Experience with attaching equipment and multi-functional joysticks.
• Ability to perform pre-start checks and follow HSE guidelines.
• Support on-site trades and material organization.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Operate telehandler using joysticks and attach forks/buckets.
• Conduct pre-start checks and daily safety inspections.
• Assist ground crew and support bricklayers with site clearance.
• Ensure adherence to load charts and HSE guidelines.
• Coordinate material storage on site.

Machine Operation: Using multi-functional joysticks and changing attachments (e.g., forks, buckets, winches) depending on the task

Safety & Inspections: Performing pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and strictly adhering to load charts and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines.

Site Support: Assisting ground crews, organizing material storage, and supporting various trades (like bricklayers) with site clearance.
