Job summary

Randstad CPE team are seeking a highly skilled Telehandler to join a residential site in Wantage, Oxfordshire. You will operate the telehandler to load, unload, transport and stack materials, while assisting bricklayers and roofers on site.

You must hold a CPCS or NPORS card with CSCS, a full UK driving licence, and wear full PPE. Daily safety checks and logbooks are required, and candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS Card or NPORS card (with CSCS logo) for Telescopic Handler (All Sizes).
• Consistent experience operating a telehandler on fast-paced residential or major housing developments.
• Excellent spatial awareness and a flawless safety record on site.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel toe cap boots).

Responsibilities

• Safely operating the telehandler machine to load, unload, transport, and stack materials across the site.
• Distributing materials to various plots and assisting bricklayers, joiners, and roofers by placing packs exactly where they need them.
• Conducting daily pre-start safety checks on the vehicle, maintaining logbooks, and reporting any defects immediately.
• Assisting the site management team with general logistics and occasionally stepping out of the cab to help manage materials if required.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Safely operating the telehandler machine to load, unload, transport, and stack materials across the site.
• Distributing materials to various plots and assisting bricklayers, joiners, and roofers by placing packs exactly where they need them.
• Conducting daily pre-start safety checks on the vehicle, maintaining logbooks, and reporting any defects immediately.
