A global IT consultancy in Scotland seeks a Telecoms Field Engineer with strong Telecoms and Networking experience. The role involves installation and maintenance of network equipment and providing first-line support. Full UK driving licence required; a company van will be provided. Start by late November 2025. Telecoms Field Engineer

Glasgow

12 Month Contract

£#removed#/day (Outside IR35)

Telecoms Field Engineer needed with strong Telecoms + Networking experience. Frequent travel to customer sites in Glasgow and across the Central Belt of Scotland.

Full UK Driving Licence is essential. A company van will be provided for travel to multiple customer sites. Start by late November 2025.

Working with a global IT Consultancy on projects for Telecoms + Utilities end clients.

Key skills, experience + tasks:

  • Previous experience as a Field Engineer in the Telecoms and/or Utilities domain sector.
  • Hands-on installation, commissioning + maintenance on PDH, SDH, Microwave, DC Chargers, and IP Networks.
  • Cisco + Alcatel product experience, LAN/WAN and MPLS.
  • Providing first-line field support (24x7/on-call rota), and routine maintenance within SLA targets.
  • Installation + commissioning of Telecoms Network equipment.
  • Complete project documentation and communicate progress.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety and quality compliance when working on site.
  • Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday), plus Out-of-Hours Support compensated at 1.2 x standard rate.
  • Advantageous Certifications: NRSWA, EUSR, IOSH, Emergency First Aid, DC/AC Competency.
