Job description

Kelly Group is currently looking to recruit the very best talent and has a unique opportunity for Experienced Telecoms Civils Operatives to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be working on our CityFibre contract.

Responsibilities include:

• Excavating in highways in compliance with NRSWA Code of Practice 1991 and HSG47
• Installing new ductwork and chambers
• Clearing blockages
• Rod, Rope, and Testing procedures
• Ensuring compliance with the Specification for Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH)
• Attending customer premises to introduce CityFibre services and lay cables through underground networks
• Consulting with customers on routing through their gardens before starting work
• Working within the CityFibre UG and PIA networks while adhering to Health and Safety legislation, ensuring customer satisfaction

Key Skills and Experience:

• Full UK driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Experience working on the CityFibre network
• Proficiency with mechanical civils equipment
• Strong risk assessment and hazard identification skills, with a focus on health and safety
• Previous telecoms experience
• Hands-on trade experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working at heights and underground when required
