Qualifications

Job description

Kelly Group is currently looking to recruit the very best talent and have a unique opportunity for Experienced Telecoms Civils Operatives to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be working on our CityFibre contract.

In your role you will be responsible for:

  • Excavating in the highways and complying with NRSWA Code of Practice 1991 and HSG47
  • Installing new duct work and chambers
  • Clearing blockages
  • Rod, Rope and Testing
  • Compliance with Specification for Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH)
  • Attending customer premises to introduce CityFibre services, to provide cables through underground networks from Fibre distribution points to customers properties
  • Liaising with customers to discuss all routing through their gardens before commencing activity.
  • Working in the CityFibre UG and PIA network whilst adhering to Health and Safety legislation, delivering 100% satisfaction to our customers.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence.
  • Experience on the CityFibre network.
  • Competent in the use of mechanical Civils equipment
  • Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.
  • Previous Telecoms experience
  • Experience within a hands on trade
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Be motivated and be able to work independently as well be a team player.
  • Be comfortable and willing to work at heights when required.
  • Be comfortable and willing to work underground when required
