Job description

We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative Telecom and Control System (TCS) Technician to join our team. In this key role, you’ll be part of the first line of response for maintaining and improving the tunnel and terminal systems that keep Eurotunnel’s cross-channel service running smoothly, 24/7.

You’ll work across both UK and French sites, supporting a wide range of critical infrastructure—from toll lane equipment and CCTV to public address systems, access control, and fire detection. Your contribution will help ensure these systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently for our customers and colleagues.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where your technical expertise, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to service excellence will make a real impact.

  • Follow Health & Safety and operational procedures at all times.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance on equipment using approved instructions to keep systems running smoothly.
  • Diagnose and repair faults using established procedures to return equipment to service quickly.
  • Prepare equipment for service, including inspections and testing, to meet customer requirements.
  • Record and report equipment performance based on agreed schedules and standards.
  • Use administrative systems to manage tasks and updates effectively.
  • Become qualified in relevant telecommunications systems through training and experience.
Training & Development
  • You’ll work towards minimum competency within 2 years,
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience in telecommunications or electronics.
  • A HNC / HND / NVQ (or equivalent) in telecommunications/electronics plus at least 2 years’ relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, a BTEC / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in a technical discipline with at least 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and French are highly desirable.
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative, cross-border environment.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and Passport are essential.
