Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust invites a GP with Special Interest in Dermatology to join a Tele dermatology Pilot Service. The role focuses on rapid assessment and triage of suspected skin lesions, guiding patients to urgent or routine pathways and leveraging high-quality imaging for decision making.

The post supports development of a modern dermatology service, with emphasis on diagnostic efficiency, patient access and safety. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• GP with Special Interest in Dermatology (GPwSI) required.
• Experience in teledermatology and image-based assessment.
• Commitment to CPD and GMC revalidation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high quality dermatology care via teledermatology.
• Run assessment clinics using skin lesion imaging for triage.
• Follow NICE guidelines for skin cancer management and pathways.
• Explain risks/benefits to patients and involve them in decisions.
• Participate in audit, supervision, appraisal and clinical governance.
