Job description
Due to continued growth, we are delighted to be recruiting a Managing Draughtsperson Design Manager Technical Coordinator at senior level to join a well-established steelwork engineering business based in Perivale, West London. On offer is a very competitive salary.
The successful Design Manager will join the existing technical team and work on a variety of bespoke steelwork projects for the construction industry, which includes feature stairs, balustrades, Juliet balconies, structural steel, and architectural metalwork.
Duties include:
- Overseeing all other Design Personnel, offering technical support and delegating projects within the design department (currently 7 personnel).
- Creating 3D models of various steelwork projects.
- Producing & approving fabrication and installation/erection drawings from the 3D model.
- Raising RFIs/TQs as required.
Draughtsman requirements:
- Prior experience working as a Manager/Draughtsman on steelwork/architectural metalwork or similar is required.
- Experience using CAD software such as Tekla, Solidworks, or similar is required.
- Live in/within a commutable distance of Perivale; this is an office-based role.
- Be reliable and seeking a long-term PAYE role.
