Tekla Solidworks Design Manager Coordinator Technical

Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are delighted to be recruiting a Managing Draughtsperson Design Manager technical coordinator at senior level to join a well-established steelwork engineering business based in Perivale, West London. On offer is a very competitive salary.

The successful Design Manager will join the existing technical team and work on a variety of bespoke steelwork projects for the construction industry, which includes feature stairs, balustrades, and Juliet balconies, as well as structural steel and architectural metalwork.

Duties

1. Overseeing all other Design Personnel, offering technical support and delegating projects within the design department (currently 7 personnel).
2. Creating 3D models of various steelwork projects.
3. Producing and approving fabrication and installation/erection drawings from the 3D model.
4. Raising RFIs/TQs as required.

Draughtsman Requirements

1. Prior experience working as a Manager/Draughtsman on steelwork/architectural metalwork or similar is required.
2. Experience using CAD software such as Tekla, Solidworks, or similar is required.
3. Live in/within a commutable distance of Perivale, as this is an office-based role.
4. Be reliable and seeking a long-term PAYE role.
