Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd in Barnsley, South Yorkshire seeks an experienced Tekla Detailer to translate engineering information into fabrication-ready steel detail. You will produce GA, assembly and erection drawings and collaborate with engineers and fabrication teams to keep projects moving.

The role requires strong Tekla Structures skills, experience with fabrication and erection drawings, and a clear understanding of steel fabrication standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tekla Detailer / Structural Steel Detailer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tekla Structures.
• Experience producing fabrication, assembly and erection drawings.
• A good understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings.
• Experience on large-scale or technically complex steelwork projects.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop 3D structural steel models in Tekla Structures, turning engineering information into fabrication-ready detail.
• Produce accurate GA, assembly, single-part and erection drawings.
• Interpret structural drawings and resolve detailing issues before fabrication.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers and the fabrication team to keep projects moving.
• Incorporate design changes and revisions while maintaining model and drawing accuracy.
• Produce the fabrication information needed to get steel manufactured and installed on site.
