Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Tekla Detailer for a leading structural steel contractor in the UK.

You'll produce 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures, and develop GA and CNC data for production. You will review engineering information, resolve detailing queries, and liaise with engineers and fabrication teams to deliver buildable solutions across multiple projects, from design through fabrication.

Qualifications

• Previous Tekla Structures experience in structural steel projects.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings and specs.
• Experience producing fabrication drawings and CNC data.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

The Role

You'll play a key role in taking projects from engineering design through to fabrication, producing accurate models and drawings that keep production running efficiently and projects on schedule.

You'll:

• Produce 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures.


• Develop GA drawings, assembly drawings, single-part drawings and CNC data.


• Review engineering information and resolve detailing queries throughout the project lifecycle.


• Liaise with engineers, project managers and fabrication teams to ensure buildable solutions.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Previous experience using Tekla Structures within the structural steel industry.


• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and detailing.


• Ability to interpret structural and engineering drawings.


• Experience producing fabrication drawings, material schedules and CNC information.


• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience working on commercial, industrial or infrastructure steelwork projects.


• Knowledge of connection detailing.


• Understanding of UK structural steel standards.


• Experience working alongside fabrication and site teams.
