About the company

Now heading towards their 23rd Anniversary, our client is a group of British-owned extra-curricular English Schools, the only such group in Hong Kong, located in central areas. They focus on providing a high-quality, interactive, and encouraging learning environment for students aged 3 to 16. Teachers are recruited to work in one of the schools or occasionally across two schools as part of a native English-speaking team. Classes emphasize oral interaction, reading, and writing.

About the role

As a TEFL English Teacher, you will enjoy a supportive environment starting with a comprehensive induction. Teachers develop their skills while experiencing life in vibrant Hong Kong.

• You will provide an interactive and nurturing environment with classes limited to 4 students, allowing personalized interaction.
• Small classes enable tailored lessons based on individual needs and English proficiency, not age.
• Students are encouraged to speak only English to maximize learning and immersion.
• Teachers help build students' confidence and love for English, developing lessons to meet individual progress.

Teachers are supported with resources, guidance, and autonomy to develop effective lessons, within a framework that promotes student potential. Support includes:

• A comprehensive induction, especially for new teachers
• Opportunities for training and professional growth
• Mentorship from senior teachers and managers

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be based at a Hong Kong center and responsible for:

• Planning and preparing lessons based on student proficiency
• Teaching children in small groups

About you

To qualify, you must have or be willing to obtain a TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA qualification, or have extensive teaching experience, and hold a degree in any field. Rewards

The salary ranges from HK$22,000 to HK$27,000 per month (approx. GBP £27,600 to £33,000 annually, pro-rata). Benefits include:
