Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technology Vendor Performance & Optimization leader to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our technology vendors deliver high-quality services, meet contractual obligations, and align with our organization's strategic objectives. You will serve as the primary point of contact between vendors and internal stakeholders, managing vendor relationships, mitigating risks, and identifying cost optimization opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vendor Performance Management:

    1. Primary interface for all technology vendor relations
    2. Monitor and evaluate vendor performance against established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    3. Develop and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
    4. Identifying and managing performance decline or emerging risk issues
    5. Conduct regular business reviews with vendors to discuss performance, address concerns, and foster strong relationships.
    6. Partner with Sourcing team to ensure holistic oversight for all Technology vendor activities
  2. Cost Optimization:

    1. Identify and pursue cost optimization opportunities without compromising service quality.
  3. Business Activity Owner (BAO) Activity:

    1. Manage / coordinate all BAO activities across technology
    2. Own all aspects of the third-party relationship and is responsible for identifying, managing, and monitoring all third-party risks throughout the relationship and staying in compliance with TPM requirements.
    3. Must understand the risks and ensure appropriate mitigating controls are established
  4. Strategic Alignment:

    1. Ensure that vendor solutions align with the organization's technology strategy and business objectives.
    2. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  5. Governance and Communication:

    1. Establish and maintain a governance framework for technology vendor management.
    2. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between vendors and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 15+ years of proven experience in technology vendor management or a similar role.
  3. Strong understanding of IT service management principles (ITIL framework preferred).
  4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISM, CISSP).
  2. Experience with vendor management software and tools.
