Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland in London, Manchester or Edinburgh is seeking a Technology Value Consultant to quantify the value of technology investments and realise strategic business outcomes. You will work at the intersection of business and technology with CTO/CFO stakeholders, building business cases, guiding cost optimisation across cloud, SaaS and AI, and shaping multi-year investment plans.

Qualifications

• Experience analysing technology cost bases and providing optimisation recommendations.
• Keen to explore emerging technologies (Gen AI, Agentic AI, TokenOps, Quantum, etc.).
• Experience working with hybrid cloud, data platforms, SaaS, AI, etc.
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills to influence clients.
• Ability to interpret financial reports and link to technology spend.
• Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Help clients estimate the value of their enterprise technology investments to support strategic outcomes.
• Stay informed on industry dynamics and tech trends affecting CTO and CFO strategy.
• Build client-facing business cases projecting costs and benefits of technology transformation.
• Support clients to define and execute technology cost optimisation programmes across legacy, on-prem, hybrid cloud, SaaS and AI deployments.
• Assist clients in designing FinOps/TokenOps capabilities for hybrid cloud, SaaS and AI spend to improve ROI.
• Advise on financial management concepts (transparency, chargeback, TBM) in CTO context.
• Provide insights and frameworks to aid complex investment decisions aligned with strategic goals.
• Assist in moving financial planning to multi-year investment plans funding products rather than projects.

Your responsibilities as a Tech Value Consultant will include:

• Helping clients estimate the value of their enterprise technology investments to support realisation of strategic business and technology outcomes
• Staying abreast of industry dynamics and the impact of technology trends on CTO and CFO strategy – e.g. the impact of AI on Business and Technology investment decisions and value realisation
• Building client facing business cases that project the costs and benefits (financial & non-financial) of technology transformation while ensuring it aligns with business objectives
• Supporting clients define and execute technology cost optimisation programmes across legacy, on-prem, hybrid cloud, SaaS, and AI deployments
• Support clients to design and mobilise FinOps / TokenOps capabilities for hybrid cloud, SaaS, and AI spend to deliver cost transparency, cost control, and cost optimisation to improve ROI on technology investments
• Advise clients on financial management concepts (transparency, chargeback, total cost of ownership, budgeting, forecasting) within CTO using industry best practice and frameworks – e.g. Technology Business Management (TBM)
• Provide insights and frameworks that help clients to make complex investment decisions that align to meeting their strategic goals
• Support clients to move their financial planning processes from traditional annual budget processes to multi-year investment plans that fund products rather than projects

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have experience analysing technology cost bases and providing optimisation recommendations
• Are inquisitive and keen to explore emerging technologies (Gen AI, Agentic AI, TokenOps, Quantum, etc.)
• Have experience working with major technologies (hybrid cloud, data platforms, SaaS, AI, etc.)
• Have proven stakeholder management and communication skills that can be leveraged to influence and persuade clients
• Are comfortable interpreting financial reports and linking through to technology spend and inventories
• Can work across multi-disciplinary teams
