Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland is seeking a Technology Value Manager to advise senior clients on the value of technology investments. Based in London, Manchester, or Edinburgh, you’ll bridge business and technology, shaping operating models and cost optimisation across cloud, AI, data platforms, and SaaS.

You will build business cases, work with CTO/CFO stakeholders, and help redefine budgeting toward multi-year investments that fund products rather than projects.

Qualifications

• Experience analysing technology cost bases and optimisation recommendations.
• Keen to explore emerging technologies (Gen AI, TokenOps, etc.).
• Experience with hybrid cloud, data platforms, SaaS and AI deployments.
• Strong ability to translate financial reports into technology spend insights.

Responsibilities

• Help clients estimate value of enterprise technology investments to realise strategic outcomes.
• Stay informed on AI trends and their impact on CTO/CFO strategy and value realisation.
• Build client-facing business cases projecting costs and benefits of technology transformation.
• Support cost optimisation across legacy, on-prem, hybrid cloud, SaaS, and AI deployments.
• Assist clients to design and mobilise FinOps/TokenOps capabilities for spend transparency and ROI.
• Advise on financial management concepts within CTO using TBM framework.
• Provide insights to help clients make complex investment decisions aligned with goals.
• Move financial planning from annual budgets to multi-year investment plans funding products.

Your responsibilities as a Tech Value Manager/Consultant will include:

• Helping clients estimate the value of their enterprise technology investments to support realisation of strategic business and technology outcomes
• Staying abreast of industry dynamics and the impact of technology trends on CTO and CFO strategy – e.g. the impact of AI on Business and Technology investment decisions and value realisation
• Building client facing business cases that project the costs and benefits (financial & non-financial) of technology transformation while ensuring it aligns with business objectives
• Supporting clients define and execute technology cost optimisation programmes across legacy, on-prem, hybrid cloud, SaaS, and AI deployments
• Support clients to design and mobilise FinOps / TokenOps capabilities for hybrid cloud, SaaS, and AI spend to deliver cost transparency, cost control, and cost optimisation to improve ROI on technology investments
• Advise clients on financial management concepts (transparency, chargeback, total cost of ownership, budgeting, forecasting) within CTO using industry best practice and frameworks – e.g. Technology Business Management (TBM)
• Provide insights and frameworks that help clients to make complex investment decisions that align to meeting their strategic goals
• Support clients to move their financial planning processes from traditional annual budget processes to multi-year investment plans that fund products rather than projects

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have experience analysing technology cost bases and providing optimisation recommendations
• Are inquisitive and keen to explore emerging technologies (Gen AI, Agentic AI, TokenOps, Quantum, etc.)
• Have experience working with major technologies (hybrid cloud, data platforms, SaaS, AI, etc.)
• Have proven stakeholder management and communication skills that can be leveraged to influence and persuade clients
• Are comfortable interpreting financial reports and linking through to technology spend and inventories
• Can work across multi-disciplinary teams
