Tradewind Recruitment is supporting a fantastic secondary school seeking a Temporary Technology Technician to cover a short‑term gap while permanent recruitment takes place. This role will begin immediately after Christmas.

The successful candidate will work across Design Technology, Food Technology, Textiles and Art, providing hands‑on technical support to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and clear away materials, tools, ingredients and equipment across all practical subjects

  • Provide in‑class technical support, ensuring the safe use of machinery and resources

  • Conduct routine health & safety checks and perform basic maintenance (e.g., ovens, workshop tools, sewing machines)

  • Monitor and manage stock levels of materials and consumables

  • Maintain a safe, organised and engaging working environment in workshops and classrooms

Essential Experience
  • Confident using a range of workshop tools and equipment

  • Knowledge of food hygiene procedures

  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices within practical learning environments
