Brighton & Hove Schools invites applications for a reliable, enthusiastic Technician to join the Design and Technology Department in Kemp Town Estate. The role is part-time and term-time only, with duties supporting teachers and students during practical lessons.

The post holder will prepare materials and equipment for Design, Technology and Food Technology lessons, inspect and maintain equipment, and manage stock and purchasing for the department.

We are seeking to appoint a reliable, enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Technician to join the friendly Design and Technology Department.

Part-time: 12 hours per week, term-time only.

Working hours: 8.30am to 15.00pm, 6 hours per day., The main duties of the post include the support of teachers and students during practical lessons as well as the preparation of materials and equipment for Design, Technology and Food Technology lessons. In addition to this the post holder would be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of equipment (or the organising of this) in addition to stock-keeping and purchasing for the department.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a good level of practical skills, as well as the ability to work with staff and pupils.
