Job summary

Capital One UK is offering a 10-week software engineering internship in Nottingham. You’ll work on real projects in core engineering teams, using the latest technologies to build platforms and tools. A dedicated manager, mentor and peer buddy will support your development throughout the internship.

Open to penultimate-year students graduating in 2028, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement and a joining bonus. Aiming to recruit on a fixed start date with 3 days in the office each week.

Application InformationSalary: £46,500 (pro rata) plus a £1,000 joining bonus. Location: Nottingham. Start date: 28th June 2027 for 10 weeks (dates are fixed). Eligibility: Open to any penultimate year university students graduating in 2028 (This includes undergraduates, masters and PhD students). Sponsorship: We are open to those currently on student visas, as long as you can work unrestricted for the duration of the internship. Closing date: 6th September 2026 (subject to close early).

Where and how you’ll work

This is a 10-week fixed‑term position based in our Nottingham office. We embrace a hybrid approach to work. You’ll spend three days a week in the office (Tuesday‑Thursday), with Monday and Friday being optional work‑from‑home days. Our offices are designed to inspire and support you. At our Nottingham head office, you’ll find an on‑site gym, restaurant and dedicated Learning Loft. Our London office boasts a rooftop running track and coffee bar.
