Hargreaves Lansdown in Bristol is seeking a Technology Resilience Manager to embed resilience into strategy, architecture and day-to-day operations, aligning with FCA and PRA requirements.

You will partner with Technology, Cyber Security and Enterprise Architecture to lead vulnerability remediation, mapping of services and resilience testing in a hybrid, full-time role.

Qualifications

• Essential working knowledge of FCA and PRA operational resilience requirements (PS21/3) and industry best practice.
• Experience partnering with technology, cyber security, enterprise architecture, infrastructure or service management teams.
• Knowledge of technology resilience and service continuity principles.
• Ability to provide constructive guidance and enablement to senior stakeholders while promoting risk ownership.

• Embed resilience frameworks and standards with Technology, Cyber Security and Enterprise Architecture teams.

• Identify, assess and remediate vulnerabilities and risks affecting service delivery.
• Provide oversight, challenge and escalation of resilience risks and remediation plans.
• Support mapping of Important Business Services and underlying assets, systems and third parties.
• Improve asset inventories, service mapping and recovery information with Enterprise Architecture.
• Contribute to cyber resilience, cloud adoption and resilience improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate participation in severe-but-plausible scenario testing and drive lessons learned.

About the role

Help strengthen HL’s ability to prevent, respond to, recover from and learn from technology disruption. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operational Resilience & Scenario Testing, you will act as a trusted Risk and Resilience partner to Technology, Cyber Security and Enterprise Architecture teams. You will embed operational and technology resilience into strategy, architecture, change and day-to-day operations, combining specialist guidance with constructive challenge. The role supports compliance with FCA and PRA operational resilience requirements and helps protect service continuity and positive client outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

Partner with Technology, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and Service Management teams to embed resilience frameworks and standards.

Provide specialist operational resilience guidance and enablement, supporting compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Help teams identify, assess, prioritise and remediate vulnerabilities and risks that could affect service delivery and client outcomes.

Provide oversight and constructive challenge, ensuring resilience risks and remediation plans are understood, managed and escalated appropriately.

Support Important Business Service mapping, including the assets, systems, people, facilities and third parties that underpin them.

Work with Enterprise Architecture to improve asset inventories, service and dependency mapping, and technology recovery information.

Contribute to cyber resilience and recovery preparedness, cloud adoption, third-party services and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Coordinate Technology participation in severe-but-plausible scenario testing and support lessons learned and improvement activity.

Contribute to self-assessments, reporting, management information and governance, providing evidence of compliance and continuous improvement.

Promote a strong culture of resilience through engagement, coaching and stakeholder collaboration.

About you

Essential Working knowledge of FCA and PRA operational resilience requirements, including PS21/3, and relevant industry good practice.

Experience partnering with Technology, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Service Management or Change teams.

Knowledge of technology resilience, cyber resilience, cloud technologies, disaster recovery and service continuity principles.

Ability to provide constructive challenge, guidance and enablement to senior technology stakeholders while supporting business ownership of risk and controls.

Strong influencing, networking and stakeholder management skills across management, business teams and vendors.

Clear written, verbal and presentation skills, with strong critical thinking and pragmatic problem-solving.

Excellent organisation, research and attention to detail, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Experience facilitating service mapping, dependency analysis, scenario testing or resilience improvement initiatives.

Experience contributing to operational resilience self-assessments, governance reporting or management information.

Working Schedule

The Technology Resilience Manager role is a Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Our office is based in Bristol, BS2 0TR. We work in a hybrid model with a blend of home and office working.
