Role Definition

As a Technology Project Team Leader in the Emissions and Product Regulatory Compliance department, you will support the development, deployment, and maintenance of Caterpillar’s software systems used for certification, compliance, and related workflows. You will lead projects across multiple organizations, products, and jurisdictions to deliver solutions that meet regulatory requirements and support efficient business processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver software tools that improve certification and compliance workflows.
• Define project scope, requirements, and use cases for successful software development and testing.
• Coordinate resources across departments, engineering, manufacturing, IT, and other areas.
• Manage project progress and costs; communicate with stakeholders; resolve issues; ensure projects are completed on time and within budget; ensure solutions are usable and deliver business value.
• Provide technical support and consulting within the organization.

Degree Requirement

Skills you must have

• Project Management: Expert knowledge of project management strategies; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control multiple projects.
• Requirements Development and Analysis: Knowledge of tools and techniques for eliciting and analyzing business requirements.
• Effective Communications: Ability to communicate ideas and information effectively.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze situations and make informed decisions.
• Team Leadership: Ability to build and manage effective teams across complex projects.
• Technical Excellence: Ability to leverage software to support business processes and solve technical challenges.

Top candidates will also have

• Six Sigma Blackbelt or other project leadership certifications.
• Experience developing requirements for business software.
• Expertise in Microsoft tools like SharePoint and Power BI.
• Knowledge of Teamcenter and other product data management systems.
• Experience with Caterpillar’s CDM system.
• Experience leading change management initiatives and team leadership in implementing new processes and tools.
