Summary of Role
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Technology Programme Manager to lead a CMS replacement, website redesign, and migration project. The role also involves driving the agile delivery of a broader technology and transformation programme across the business. This hands-on position requires technical project delivery experience, with a successful track record of managing complex digital projects involving third-party vendors, websites, customer portals, CRM integrations, and single sign-on (SSO). The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and will eventually be responsible for delivering new strategic systems to transform our exams business.

In collaboration with the Director of Operations and Digital Transformation, the responsibilities include:
Digital Experience & CMS Project
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a CMS selection and implementation, including website redesign, migration, and customer portal with SSO.
- Manage vendor selection processes (RFP, evaluation, onboarding) for CMS and digital experience platforms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing, education, exams) to gather and prioritize requirements.
- Oversee third-party design and development partners to ensure timely, high-quality delivery, maximizing value within budget.
- Ensure the CMS supports content governance, scalability, and user experience goals.
- Coordinate the implementation of secure and seamless SSO for customer access to the portal.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management activities.
Agile Programme Delivery
- Manage a portfolio of technology projects using Agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements and prioritization.
- Track progress, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of value.
- Promote agile best practices and continuous improvement.
- Provide regular progress reports to the Steering Group, including updates on OKRs, risks, dependencies, budget, and resources.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience delivering CMS projects (e.g., Sitecore, Umbraco, Adobe Experience Manager).
- Experience managing website redesigns and customer-facing platforms.
- Experience working with third-party vendors and agencies.
- Familiarity with SSO technologies (e.g., Azure AD B2C, Auth0, Okta).
- Solid understanding of Agile principles and tools (e.g., Jira).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., education, financial services, healthcare).
- Technical understanding of web development, APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM, Scrum Master).

Working Hours
This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
Additional Information
The role is offered on a hybrid basis (2 days in-office, remainder remote). When remote, a high-speed broadband environment is required. The office remains open weekdays and is available for those who prefer working in-office or face difficulties working remotely. Hybrid arrangements will be reviewed regularly.
Remuneration
Annual salary ranges from £55,000 to £65,000, depending on experience.
