Job summary

Anson McCade Pty is seeking a Technology Modernisation Director for a global consultancy in London. The role drives technology transformation in Retail or Financial Services, advising senior executives on value from technology and how to improve business performance.

You will lead small, focused teams, shape technology strategy, roadmaps and cost-reduction programs, and oversee due diligence, integration and crisis management. A strong CXO communication style is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, MBA/Master’s advantageous.
• Experience leading technology transformations with CXO exposure.
• Strong commercial and communication skills.

Technology Modernisation Director- Global Consultancy - London

Salary: £222,000-£240,000 | Location: London (3 days a week in the office, the rest from home)

About the role

Our client is a global consulting firm that helps organisations tackle their most complex and high-stakes challenges. They are hiring a Director with technical credibility and strong commercial instincts to lead technology transformation in Retail or Financial Services. You will advise senior executives on getting more value from technology and improving business performance.

What you'll do

• Lead and co-lead small, focused teams on large, complex client projects from start to finish, working closely with senior partners and other Directors.


• Advise on technology strategy, operating models, investment roadmaps and value creation plans.


• Deliver technology cost reduction, re-platforming, rationalisation and consolidation programmes.


• Lead technology due diligence, carve-outs and merger integration.


• Step in on IT crisis management and turnaround of troubled projects.


• Build client relationships, win new business and help develop the firm's thought leadership and service offerings.

What you'll need

• Strong Retail or Financial Services experience, ideally a mix of consulting and industry.


• Practical experience in at least two of these areas: IT strategy, IT cost optimisation, software delivery, infrastructure and operations, architecture, governance, project management, target operating models.


• A track record of leading business-led technology transformations or value creation programmes.


• Excellent communication skills at CXO level, with strong analytical and financial skills.


• A bachelor's degree with relevant experience (an MBA or Master's is an advantage).


• Fluent English (a second language is a plus).


• Willingness to travel across EMEA and occasionally work outside normal hours.
