Job description

Winterflood Securities is currently hiring for X2 Junior Analysts to join the Technology Governance function.

Successful candidates will assist in maintaining and enhancing Data Governance, Data Protection, Market Data control, IT General Controls, Operational Resilience (including Business Continuity), and Third Party Management methodologies. The role reports to the Technology Governance Lead Analyst.

There will be opportunities to work closely with the Head of Technology Governance on various ad-hoc duties and projects.

Key Responsibilities
Third-Party Management Framework:
  • Support vendor relationships throughout their lifecycle.
  • Maintain and support the Third-Party Management Framework.
  • Administer the TPRM system to manage third-party suppliers and records, providing training as needed.
  • Conduct due diligence on vendors to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Legal on contract negotiations and reviews.
  • Act as a point of contact for issue resolution with vendors.
  • Assist in documentation and reporting related to third-party management.
Market Data Management:
  • Ensure compliance with licensing terms.
  • Oversee market data costs and advise on data solutions.
  • Manage policy changes, display data, analyze business needs, and handle supplier relations.
Operational Resilience and Business Continuity:
  • Support delivery of resilience and continuity programs and projects.
  • Track progress and validate data accuracy.
Data Protection Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to data protection laws and establish governance frameworks.
  • Oversee data protection functions for compliance.
Data Governance Framework:
  • Maintain and define data ownership, classification, and stewardship.
  • Report to the Data Governance Committee and support audit processes.
IT General Controls:
  • Manage access control reviews and policies.
  • Identify and remediate access risks.
  • Provide MI reports to stakeholders.
Reporting:
  • Support external and internal reporting obligations.
  • Report on Data Protection and Technology incidents.
Audit and Risk:
  • Oversee audit activities and maintain RCSA for the tech area.
Other Duties:
  • Assist with IT projects, procurement, scenario analysis, and ad-hoc tasks.
Required Skills and Knowledge
