Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Technology Finance & Business Manager to work closely with the Director of Transformation & Delivery to manage department finances, procurement, workforce management, and support reporting.

Your primary focus will be on managing the change and operational budgets of the technology teams, managing commercial agreements with suppliers, governing spend and contracts, and resource management & capacity planning.

You will play a crucial role in streamlining the efficient work of teams within the department, maintaining ownership of the overall financial and workforce position to enable teams to deliver the best outcomes for FNZ and our Clients.

You will have experience in managing large budgets in complex, rapidly changing environments. You will be able to rapidly identify areas of improvement and make changes for the good of the department.

Financial Management:

  • Own management of department budgets, ensuring spend is correctly attributed to initiatives and services

  • Oversee financial planning to ensure that the department spends within budget expectations, identifying, highlighting and escalating risks

  • Support in coordinating

  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for senior leadership and stakeholders

  • Interface with GroupFinance, and operate financial reporting systems

Resource Management:

  • Own and oversee resource plans across the department, identifying areas of under and over staffing to ensure the efficient allocation of resources

  • Own and oversee application of the skills framework, identifying areas missing key skills to ensure staff are developed effectively

  • Coordinate and assist in capacity planning, and organisational modelling

  • Provide support in resource management, planning and capacity management, and budget management to ensure the efficient allocation of security resources

Commercial Management:

  • Maintain an inventory of vendors and contracts centrally, highlighting upcoming renewals and expiry

  • Interface with Procurement to onboard and offboard suppliers on behalf of the department

  • Raise and coordinate purchase orders with vendors

Strategic Coordination & Communication:

  • Support the Director in managing executive-level correspondence and presentations

Experience Required

  • Experience in financial management, or a related role with strong preference for managing large budgets within an operational setting

  • Experience in a large enterprise, and interfacing with teams & processes such as finance, procurement, and HR.

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data visualization tools

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

  • Excellent spoken and written English
