Job Description

The Digital Strategy team at Brambles addresses global customer-centric challenges, collaborating across regional, technical, and functional teams. We seek a motivated individual to lead the establishment of a scalable testing capability for Tracking Technologies (hardware and software).

This role focuses on evaluating commercial options ('buy vs. build vs. partner') and engaging with third-party OEMs to optimize our tracking solutions. The candidate will work closely with the Tracking Technology Lead and internal teams to develop enterprise-wide capabilities, leveraging insights from existing hardware and software developments.

Key Accountabilities
Team Leadership
  • Define priorities for third-party testing, including battery tech, location mapping, and device precision enhancements.
  • Create sandbox environments for large-scale testing of tracking technologies.
  • Ensure dedicated resources focus fully on Tracking Tech R&D.
  • Gather and analyze innovation insights from internal and external sources, assessing their applicability.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing activities, including software, field tests, and simulations.
  • Compare device performance data from field deployments and testing environments.
  • Develop business cases for 'buy vs. build vs. partner' strategies and lead initial commercial viability discussions.
  • Collaborate on market mapping and potential acquisition targets.
  • Plan and oversee integration of third-party tech stacks into Brambles’ environment.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Procurement for budget adherence and documentation.
Personal & SME Development
  • Work with senior leadership to develop asset tracking technologies.
