We leverage best practices and cutting‑edge tools to support Elsevier's agile and sustainable culture. We engage with global teams, organising workshops and events to promote knowledge sharing. By building strong relationships and maintaining open communication, we align our technology initiatives with organisational goals and deliver impactful results.

About the role:

The Technology Engagement and Change Engagement Lead will work with the TIO Optimisation VP to build, plan and own ongoing community and engagement initiatives, as well as supporting strategic TechX optimisation in TIO through aiding the rollout of tools to help teams in their efficiency efforts. The role will focus on working with colleagues within TIO as well as equivalent SMEs across Technology, building relationships and leveraging best practices to support the Elsevier goal of building an agile and sustainable culture.

Key responsibilities:
  • Supporting TIO Optimisation VP, in their capacity as TechX representative, with initiatives aimed at supporting optimisation, efficiency and productivity.
  • Owning key TIO engagement activities that support strategic OKRs, including global team meeting coordination, local learning, and knowledge‑sharing activities (e.g. highlighting and encouraging reuse, identifying TOIL reduction and modernisation opportunities) and driving implementation of TIO EOS action plans through leading colleague working group.
  • Performing moderately complex data analysis on extensive and confidential data sets, including EOS, Office Vibe and Trusted Partner Survey results.
  • Supporting Optimisation VP in coordination of TIO‑wide learning initiatives and tracking of completion, including support for embedding Accessibility skills.
  • Working between on‑site, remote and global TIO teams to ensure requirements are being met.
Requirements:
  • Have an in‑depth understanding of the importance of strategic change for culture and engagement and the value they bring to a global organisation – demonstrates high EQ.
  • Be a goal‑focused, initiative‑taking, and resilient individual, able to work independently and bring well‑considered proposals for consideration.
  • Be highly adaptable to the changing needs of the organisation – and able to pivot their approach to meet those evolving needs.
  • Proactive and “big‑picture” approach to, and genuine curiosity for, problem‑solving – energised by spotting opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Highly adaptable verbal and written communication and facilitation skills that allow for effective engagement across all levels of the organisation, including confidence in engaging with senior leaders.
  • Ability to build trust quickly and with authenticity, leveraging network across TIO and wider the Technology organisation to support delivery of TIO and TechX goals.
