Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Technician 2 to provide technical support for teaching staff. You will supervise staff, manage resources, and assist in developing teaching aids and practical resources within the Technology & Design department.
The role requires GCSEs including English/Maths/Technology & Design, experience in a school or workshop, and knowledge of health and safety. A willingness to undertake further training is expected.
Five GCSE’s (Grades A*-C) to include English Language, Mathematics and Technology & Design or a Level 2 vocational qualification in an Engineering/Technology related discipline, or equivalent or higher level qualifications

To provide technical support and assistance to teaching staff in the implementation of the school’s/department's educational programme.
Supervision This is a discretionary element of the job description. The grade may be awarded if supervision is not a component of the post.
This job description will be subject to review in light of changing circumstances and is not intended to be rigid and inflexible but should be regarded as providing guidelines within which the individual works. Other duties of a similar nature and appropriate to the grade may be assigned from time to time.
