Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Technology Delivery Lead at its New Victoria Hospital site in Surrey. This permanent, full-time role with hybrid working involves leading complex technology delivery for mergers and acquisitions within Health Services, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing roadmaps, and ensuring business readiness across integrations.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience delivering complex IT projects and programmes using Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience leading multi-stream technology initiatives with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, including Scrum and SAFe.
  • Experience delivering technology integration, transformation or mergers and acquisitions programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, forecasting and supplier management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of technology workstreams supporting mergers and acquisitions across Health Services.
  • Oversee integration of technology services, platforms and capabilities into Bupa following acquisitions.
  • Create and manage delivery plans, roadmaps and priorities aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders and delivery teams to maintain a clear backlog.
  • Coordinate multiple teams, dependencies and delivery partners to achieve outcomes.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies to keep delivery on track.
  • Provide transparent reporting on progress, budget, forecasts and delivery metrics.
  • Build relationships across technology, operations and business teams.
  • Lead and coach teams through Agile ways of working and programme increment planning.
  • Support business case development and benefits tracking to ensure value delivery.

Job Description: Technology Delivery Lead Primary location: New Victoria Hospital, Surrey (KT2 7EG) Flexible / Hybrid working options. As a Technology Delivery Lead, you'll play a key role in making that happen. You'll lead the technology delivery of mergers and acquisitions within our Diagnostics and Secondary Care business, helping newly acquired healthcare organisations successfully integrate into Bupa. This is an opportunity to lead complex, high-profile programmes that directly support the growth of our healthcare services. You'll work across technology, change and business teams to deliver technology solutions that create value for colleagues, clinicians and customers. From shaping delivery roadmaps to ensuring successful implementation and business readiness, you'll have end-to-end ownership of initiatives that have a real impact on healthcare delivery. We're looking for someone who enjoys bringing people together, navigating complexity and creating clarity. You'll lead through collaboration, helping teams deliver great outcomes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and shared success.

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • Build strong relationships across technology, operational and business teams.
  • Lead and coach teams through Agile ways of working, encouraging collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Champion Agile practices including sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews and programme increment planning.
  • Support business case development and benefits tracking to make sure value is delivered and realised.
  • Ensure delivery activities align with governance, regulatory and data protection requirements.
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and delivery partners to achieve shared goals.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role

We’re looking for an experienced technology delivery professional who can successfully lead large-scale programmes in complex environments.

  • Significant experience delivering complex IT projects and programmes using Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
