Job Description:

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our Evolving Delivery Models (EDM) team of around 30 skilled Risk Professionals within the UK Risk Management organisation. This Manager role focuses on leading a portfolio of risk management activities related to enabling the firm to safely adopt and leverage emerging technologies and new delivery models. Our current focus areas include Generative AI and other emerging technologies, data, and third-party risk management, including technology providers.

What your days will look like

You will:

  • Lead a portfolio of activities focused on technology, data and third party risk management with client facing business teams, applying an appropriate risk awareness mindset, navigating change, reporting on progress and adhering to deadlines.
  • Build and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders to gather input, facilitate validation and resolve issues. This will include subject matter experts and specialist risk teams, in areas such as Information Security, Data Protection, Ethics and Compliance.
  • Create articulate and effective oral and written communications, simplifying complex concepts, providing well-reasoned and self-assured responses to stakeholders, analysing and documenting processes and developing guidance in easy to digest forms.
  • Flex your style, adapt to changing requirements, business priorities and technology strategies, and manage your time across a portfolio of activities, including balancing working efficiently on your own, delegating to others and contributing as part of a wider team
  • Take an active role in supporting the wider EDM team operations, including running team meetings and reporting.

This role is for you if:

  • You are a Risk Management professional, with experience of understanding, identifying and managing the risks associated with the safe and responsible use of technology, data and/or third parties in a business context, including growing services and products and driving efficiencies
  • You have a balanced, pragmatic approach to risk management, with an understanding of the importance of mitigating risks while enabling the firm to innovate and exploit opportunities
  • You can demonstrate capability in relationship building and stakeholder management, appropriately managing expectations and driving projects to completion in agreed timescales.
  • You are organised, think in an agile way and enjoy problem solving. The pace of change in the technology and data landscapes coupled with legal and regulatory change mean that flexibility and the ability to work within ambiguous environments is essential for successful delivery in this role.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into communications which are clear and digestible by the relevant audience.
  • You can work effectively in a diverse team, remotely and in person, sharing and collaborating effectively with others, as well as creating a positive team spirit.
  • You can proficiently use Google and M technologies including AI office assistants such as Copilot.

We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
