You’ll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, but you’ll also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients.

Overview:

Our Technology Advisory Services (TAS) team within our Business Services and Outsourcing Stream consists of cloud accounting specialists that support businesses with the implementation and migration from legacy systems to innovative cloud accounting. We are supported by integration partners offering systems designed to enhance productivity, operational performance, the control environment, business agility and production of timely management information.

You will also be working with clients to transform their finance function through the application of technology, identifying suitable systems to help them achieve their aims. You will take responsibility for client onboarding, migration and configuration of the selected cloud accounting systems, work closely and manage members of the team to ensure our clients’ requirements are met.

You’ll be someone with:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good knowledge of mid-market and entry level accounting software such as Xero. Knowledge of other ERPs and add on applications within the Xero marketplace would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of the cloud accounting software market.
  • Understands the finance and accounting functions performed by a business and common best practices/process for how they operate.
  • Has an in-depth knowledge of how finance and accounting functions can differ by industry/business structure and appropriate accounting solutions to meet requirements.
  • Experience of implementation of cloud accounting software including data migration.
