WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
As an IRL Technologist at the Red Cross you will perform basic and advanced donor and patient tests, and interpret results to determine donor-recipient compatibility. You will resolve compatibility problems; provide intermediate reference and consultation services to hospitals and transfusion services.

Key Responsibilities:
Standard Schedule: The position requires a Monday to Friday work week, with varying schedules from either 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. In addition, this position includes on-call responsibilities for weekends and holidays. On-call shifts are assigned weekly, beginning after regular business hours on Friday (post 4:30 PM) and continuing until the following Friday morning (up to 6:59 AM).
Pay: The salary range for this position is (California): $55/hr

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.

Physical Requirements: Requires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods. Lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds. May work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time. Required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc. Ability to use a wide variety of lab or medical equipment.
