Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a Technologist, to join a Flooring Materials manufacturing company, at their site based in Coventry, on a 12 month fixed term contract, starting in November 2025.

The salary for this role ranges from 27,000 - 37,000pa, dependent on experience and ability.

The Technologist will take part in key R&D projects, working in the R&D Team. The working hours are Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 5.15pm (37.5 hours per week).

Location:
The Technologist will be based at the company's site in Coventry, easily commutable from Birmingham.

Technologist Role:
Your main duties will be:

  • Introducing alternative raw materials and New Product Development (NPD).
  • Providing Technical support to UK and USA manufacturing sites, as well as to Sales/Marketing to resolve issues.
  • Generating new PVC and non-PVC product ideas.
  • Carry out internal and external testing.
  • Produce technical reports regularly.

Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
  • At least 2 years' experience in Polymer Processing Industry.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • BSc/MChem/MSci Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (car not required).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to international sites.
