Job summary

Riverside Motor Group’s Volvo dealership in Doncaster is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join the team. You will perform advanced diagnostics, repairs and routine servicing across a range of vehicles.

The role requires Level 3 IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance, a full driving licence and a pragmatic, customer‑focused approach. You will support colleagues, maintain quality workmanship and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Full valid driving licence.
• Level 3 IMI qualified in Light Vehicle Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections, identifying faults.
• Explain repair requirements clearly to Service Advisors and customers.
• Ensure work complies with policies, manufacturer specs, and regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment.
• Oversee servicing, repairs, and parts replacement, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction.

Essentials (You Must Have):

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
• Flexible and team‑orientated approach with a focus on positive customer service
• Experience carrying out complex repairs
• Full valid driving licence

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing in line with required standards.
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections, accurately identifying faults
• Communicate technical issues and repair requirements clearly to Service Advisors and customers where required.
• Ensure all work is compliant with company policies, manufacturer specifications, and industry regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Oversee servicing, repairs, and parts replacement, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and customer satisfaction is achieved.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Level 3 IMI qualified in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication will be essential, particularly when liaising with Service Advisors and customers to explain work required.
• Ability to support and mentor other technicians.
