Job summary

Arc UK in Halesowen is seeking a Motor Vehicle Technician with at least Level 3 qualification. Experience with gearboxes, engines and cam belts is valued. MOT qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.

You will diagnose, service and repair vehicles in a busy workshop, with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role includes ongoing training, franchise exposure and achievable targets.

Qualifications

• Must be level 3
• Level 3 plus competency in gearbox, engine and cambelts
• MOT tester qualification is preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

• Achieve high customer satisfaction (CSI) through quality service.
• Maintain high technical knowledge and comply with manufacturer training.
• Maintain efficiency with hours sold vs hours attended.
• Uphold company and manufacturer quality standards and minimize repeat repairs.
• Ensure 100% Vehicle Health Check documentation and clear repair order notes.
• Keep work area, tools and equipment clean and safe per regulations

MOTOR VEHICLE TECHNICIAN - Halesowen

40 Hours a week, £38,000 basic plus bonus and overtime (1in3 Saturday mornings)

Level 3 plus, competent with gearbox, engine, cam belts etc. Brand training will be provided.

MOT tester qualification, but not essential.

Our Client and mutli-franchised dealer group based in Halesowen is looking for a Technician, prefereably with MOT status but is not essential.

Must be level 3

As a Motor Vehicle Technician you will enjoy spending most of your time in our workshop maintaining vehicles to the high standards

Vehicle Health Checks are completed on all cars, you will ensure the electronic check is accurate and up to date. You will be responsible for ensuring all jobs are completed within agreed time frames and that a high level of productivity is maintained. Analysis, diagnostics and road testing vehicles are also part of this role.

Ideally you will have Franchise experience; however, manufacturer training will be on-going for the successful candidate. You will possess a relevant formal qualification for this role. Role & Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:

• Customer Satisfaction (CSI): To take responsibility to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction levels by providing a quality of service that means Customers would not consider using our competitors.
• Technical Knowledge: To maintain high level of technical knowledge and ensure you are compliant with manufacturer training requirements.
• Efficiency: To consistently maintain high levels of overall efficiency (hours sold vs. hours attended).
• Quality: To uphold Company and manufacturer quality standards and ensure all work undertaken meets customer expectations in relation to repairs carried out and to ensure repeat repairs are minimised.
• Delivering our Duty of Care: To ensure 100% compliance with the Vehicle Health Check process and that repair order write ups are clear and concise specifying Fault Cause & Rectification.
• Standards: To maintain your work area, tools and equipment to a high standard and ensure you understand and comply with all health and safety regulations and that customer vehicles are appropriately protected while in our care.

Hours

Mon-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm 1 in 3 Saturdays
