Our busy technical department is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Technician to join our resident, full-time staff who will be based in the Theatre Royal but will also work in the Concert Hall and other areas as needed.
As a Technician, you will provide hands-on support to visiting companies, leading on Get-Ins, Get-Outs, and performances to deliver high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
This includes work on mainstage events in both venues, foyer events, maintenance work, safety inspections, repairs, and remedial work as needed.
The successful applicant should have an up-to-date working knowledge of lighting and sound equipment, including ETC Eos lighting consoles and/or DiGiCo SD series sound desks, and a competent understanding of setup and repair of fixtures and peripherals. Experience with rigging motors and associated equipment, along with knowledge of industry-standard practices, is required. Ideally, candidates will have at least one year’s experience working in a mid/large-scale venue.
