Technician (Technology Faculty)

Permanent Role Starting ASAP

East Riding Based Secondary Academy

Salary - £20,841.00 Annually (Actual)

The Role

A secondary academy in the East Riding of Yorkshire seeks to appoint an organized, flexible, and dedicated Technician to join their Technology Faculty. As a Technician, you will support the Technology department by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment for staff and students. You will play an essential role in supporting teaching staff to ensure students receive quality education. The successful candidate will have experience in a relevant discipline or similar environment, with experience in using Band Saws and an understanding of COSHH being desirable. Experience in an education setting is advantageous but not essential.

The School

An East Riding based secondary academy located approximately six miles west of Hull. The academy is part of a large multi-academy trust that benefits from collaborative practice and leadership.

Requirements

• GCSE grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English
• Experience in using a Band Saw
• An understanding of COSHH
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• The ability to work closely with colleagues

This role may be offered on a 'temp to perm' basis, initially working via supply through Vision For Education before transitioning to a permanent contract with the academy.
