Airmec Essential Services is one of the UK’s longest established specialist air hygiene and water treatment solution providers. Operating on a national basis, we work with a range of clients within High Security establishments, Healthcare, Local Government, Education and much more.

Due to some new internal structures we have an opportunity for a Technician Supervisor to cover the North & South.

This role is ideally suited to applicants who will be happy to be based within an easy commute of our Bristol (Bradley Stoke) Head Office .

Overview:
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the Technicians across the UK, you will oversee and manage jobs, ensuring compliance, associated H&S support, resources, and be responsible for the management of Team Leaders and Technicians.

Overview:
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the Technicians across the UK, you will oversee and manage jobs, ensuring compliance, associated H&S support, resources, and be responsible for the management of Team Leaders and Technicians.

Responsibilities include:
  • Management of Technicians to ensure service delivery and job completion delivery
  • Ensuring Technicians have relevant information, equipment, and resources to carry out
    works
  • Site visits to check quality of jobs and/or H&S visits to investigate any issues
  • Checking paperwork is completed correctly and returned within specified timeframes
  • Check and authorise timesheets/expense claims
  • Point of contact for any site issues with Technicians
  • Ensure Technicians are reporting on job status and completion
  • Communicate with internal operations team as needed
  • H&S – ensuring any reports of incidents/accidents, adhering to RAMS , delivery, work safety
    is logged and actioned
  • Van and equipment checks
  • Ensure processes in line with company requirements
  • Overseeing of large jobs
Team Supervision will involve: 8 Individual 121’s site assessments with Technicians
  • Probation checks
  • Highlight any training concerns with Training Supervisor.
  • Managing holiday/absence for the team, ensuring adequate cover at any time (Logging Via
    Bright HR)
  • Ensuring SDM is aware of any performance issues relating to the team
  • Development of technicians
  • Return to work interviews
Experience/Attributes/Skills:
  • Previous people management experience in a supervisory/team leader or similar position.
  • Knowledge of working within Air hygiene/Water treatment or similar sector beneficial.
  • Commercial awareness
  • Experience working in an H&S compliant industry.
  • Strong organisational and process planning skills.
  • Ability to monitor, suggest or improve processes for associated tech work.
  • Practical, supportive approach.
  • Versatile communication skills with ability to demonstrate a diplomatic and assertive
    approach with both Technicians and Customers.
  • Ability to support teams to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent level of IT including Excel skills.
  • You’ll have effective communication being skilful in utilising the best strategies to
    communicate both positive and challenging messages.
  • You will be forward looking and proactive, looking ahead to anticipate problems and develop
    plans to overcome potential obstacles.
