Job summary

Swissport in the United Kingdom is seeking skilled technicians to service, repair and maintain all types of Ground Service Equipment (GSE). You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs, and upload inspection findings into Swissport’s fleet management system.

This is a permanent, full-time role. The ideal candidate is a time-served technician with City & Guilds or equivalent, with fault-finding skills and willingness to travel for training.

Qualifications

• Time served Technician with City & Guilds or equivalent.
• 1 year post-apprentice experience.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to conduct safety inspections and routine maintenance.
• Enthusiastic, flexible team player with a 'can do' attitude.
• Welding experience preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather.
• Must have own tools.
• Willingness to travel for training or to assist other Swissport stations.
• Must pass DBS security checks.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain Ground Service Equipment (GSE).
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on GSE.
• Upload inspection findings and job details into Swissport's fleet management system.
• Respond to out-of-hours service requests when needed.
