Service Technician - Skoda Reading

Salary: £36,017 Basic plus uncapped OTE based on individual performance, team profit, and CSI bonuses

Hours: 45-hour working week with weekends on a rota basis

The Role

As a skilled Service Technician, you will join a team supporting our popular brand in state-of-the-art facilities. Full manufacturer training is provided, so prior brand experience is not necessary. Ongoing manufacturer-specific training and development are available through our Marshall Academy.

Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with the ability to work efficiently
  • A team player familiar with operating within set processes and procedures
  • Industry-recognized qualification, ideally Level 3 (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent); Level 2 considered
  • Desirable: Ability to carry out MOTs; full training will be provided
  • Motivated, organized, with a focus on Health & Safety
  • Tech-savvy and confident with iPad software
Key Responsibilities
  • Service and maintain vehicles across the brand
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults, including warranty work
  • Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes
  • Complete job cards and electronic write-ups on franchise platforms
  • Conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs)
  • Support Apprentice Technicians as required
