A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Technician/Senior Technician for their Highways and Infrastructure Design Team. This role involves contributing to highways projects, preparing design drawings, and providing technical advice. Candidates should have a minimum HNC in civil engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a collaborative approach. The position offers flexibility in location with offices in Liverpool, Leeds, and Manchester.

We are currently seeking a Technician/Senior Technician to join our Highways and Infrastructure Design Team in Manchester (although location is flexible, offices located in Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and Cumbria with hybrid working arrangements).

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the successful delivery of highways/infrastructure projects
• Preparing detailed highway/infrastructure design drawings using CAD software
• Developing project plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Supporting the planning and design phases of local highway schemes
• Providing technical advice and solutions as part of a project team

About You

• Minimum HNC qualification in civil engineering
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software with experience in highway or transportation design; experience with drainage design will be beneficial
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices related to highway design on the local road network
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, a collaborative approach and a proven ability to deliver work on time
• Team player displaying enthusiasm, flexibility, and versatility
• Desire to build upon existing experience and continue professional development with Tetra Tech
• Hold a full UK Driving License
