Overview

Boroughbridge High School are currently seeking a flexible and self-motivated Technician to join our Science & Design Technology technician team. Working under the supervision and direction of teachers, you will provide technical assistance through the co-ordination, preparation and maintenance of equipment and teaching areas in Science and Design Technology lessons.

Pay Grade: NYCC Grade CD (scp 3 - 6): £18,881 - £19,789 actual. Contract: Term Time Only (Plus 5 Professional Development Days). Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday). Contract Term: Permanent. Start Date: As soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance under the supervision and direction of teachers in Science and Design Technology lessons.
• Coordinate, prepare and maintain equipment and teaching areas to support high-quality teaching and learning.
• Support the delivery of practical activities and ensure equipment and facilities are ready for lessons.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Flexible and self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidelines and safety procedures.
• Enhanced DBS check will be required for this post.
