We’re seeking a Technician (Renewables Energy Infrastructure) to join our team in Edinburgh, supporting our growing renewable energy projects across Scotland.

Experience
  • Relevant work experience as a Junior Technician or equivalent
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software
Technical Attributes
  • Creating engineering drawings with AutoCAD
  • Modelling and analysis using Civils 3D
  • Designing pipe networks, attenuation systems, and culverts
  • Applying DMRB and local road standards for access solutions
  • Producing engineering drawings, reports, and calculations
Responsibilities
  • Assist in producing design packages for renewable energy projects, including wind, transmission, and infrastructure access design
  • Support site layout planning for planning and environmental assessments
  • Design bridges and retaining structures considering structural and flooding factors
  • Perform catchment and hydraulic analyses, including obtaining necessary authorizations
  • Design sustainable drainage systems and liaise with statutory authorities
  • Develop public highway designs and coordinate with road authorities
  • Prepare tender packages and as-built records
  • Identify hazards and collaborate on risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Act as a point of contact for clients and participate in project meetings
  • Follow company quality processes and contribute to team meetings
Qualifications
  • HND or HNC in Civil Engineering or similar
  • BTEC Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent, or working towards it
