The Repair Determination Inspector is responsible for conducting detailed inspections to determine the extent of damage or defects on aircraft components. The inspector uses specialized knowledge and experience to assess reparability, repair options, and costs.
Inspectors perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections on civil aviation articles according to current technical data, manufacturer instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, industry standards, and other data acceptable to the Administrator.
