Job Summary

The Repair Determination Inspector is responsible for conducting detailed inspections to determine the extent of damage or defects on aircraft components. The inspector uses specialized knowledge and experience to assess reparability, repair options, and costs.

Job Responsibilities

Inspectors perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections on civil aviation articles according to current technical data, manufacturer instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, industry standards, and other data acceptable to the Administrator.

• Ensure familiarity with inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment within their responsibility area. Maintain proficiency in using inspection aids. Verify that inspection tools and equipment are in proper working order and calibrated. Understand current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures. Ensure all inspections are properly performed and recorded, and all records are accurately maintained. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Professional qualification (Diploma or Professional Certificate) in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in inspection processes.
• Knowledge of C7 rating and ATA 72.
